Why You Should Pay Attention to the Unusual Strategies – Part Two
Get the strategy for your life.
God has the answers you need.
He wants to give you direction for your life.
There’s still plenty of time left for you to have what God wants you to have.
But you’re going to have to do it His way.
We all try to do things our own way. If we need a new house, we look at how much it costs, then immediately calculate if we can afford it based on how hard we can work. Let’s see, I make $15 dollars an hour times 40 hours per week equals…well, there’s no way I can afford that house.
You will never tap into the Kingdom way of living if you’re constantly tossing aside ideas as impossible because you’re putting every idea through your “how-fast-can-I run-to-accomplish-this-filter.”
God’s system isn’t like that. You don’t have to run and toil and sweat for years and years.
He knows everything. He wants to help you reach the destiny He’s designed for you.
Let Him help you. Ask Him to tell you what to do and where to go.
And, get it in your head now that a God-inspired idea is almost guaranteed to sound foolish to your natural way of thinking.
An Unusual Strategy
Like gathering a measly five loaves of bread and two fish to feed 5,000 men, or going to get a coin out the mouth of a fish.
…go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin. Take it and pay the tax for both of us. – Matthew 17:27b
Have you ever heard of anyone else anywhere in the world catching a fish with money in its mouth? That’s not a normal thing. There’s nothing ordinary or natural about that at all.
Jesus and the disciples needed to pay their taxes, and Jesus was teaching Peter to take unusual instructions. He was training him to get accustomed to hearing and obeying unusual instructions.
See, the enemy wants to hijack the plans of God.
So, when God gives you instructions, He’s going to give you an unusual strategy in order to protect His plan.
Granted, Jesus had Peter catch a fish. Peter was a professional fisherman, so he knew how to catch fish. The enemy knew that. So it wasn’t a big deal for Peter to be fishing. As far as the enemy was concerned, Peter was just going about his normal day.
But God was using an unusual tactic, an unusual strategy.
Jesus said the coin would be in the mouth of the first fish. Peter had to be obedient to instruction.
So do we.
God knows where things are. He knows where your provision is. It’s most likely not going to come in the way you think it will.
Years ago, I was facing some impossible situations where God had to show up or else.
You may know some of my story, but years before Drenda and I were in ministry, we were in financial ruin, owing on 10 maxed-out credit cards, three finance company loans, two car payments, back taxes, judgments and liens, and $26,000 to relatives.
Looking at our circumstances in the natural, there was NO way for us to change things.
But our lives were completely changed after learning how the Kingdom of God operates.
Once I started learning God’s system, my mind began to have new thoughts. I’d lie in bed at night and the Holy Spirit would give me ideas and concepts that I had never thought possible. I couldn’t shake the ideas.
God has ideas and concepts for you too! It’s time for you to allow the Holy Spirit to place God-designed vision in your heart for you to pursue.
